Doc chicken green masala


1 whole chicken ( with bones )

Grind:
1 bunch cilantro with stem
2 sprigs of mint leaves without stem - (12 leaves)
2 sprigs of curry leaves without stem - (40 leaves)
2 stalks of green onion (whole)
1/4 lime sized ball of tamarind
1 cup fresh shredded coconut
2 green chillies without seeds (adjust this to your spice level )

Method:
In Hot oil - around 2 tbsp add,
2 cloves
2 cardamom
1 inch cinnamon
Until the fragrance is out m smelling nice :))
Then add 1/2 tsp whole jeera
When jeera splutters
1 big thinly sliced red onion, fry until light brown
Add 1/2 tsp chicken curry  powder or any curry pdr
1 heaped tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt 2 tsp or to taste
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp, n fry till raw smell is gone and Fry well until oil oozes out

Add the ground masala n cook well until raw smell goes away and the oil oozes out
Add chicken
Salt
Water as needed and cook with lid closed
Once cooked add 1 tsp crushed dry methi lvs
Add 1/2 tsp garam masala
Simmer until oil oozes out or gravy slightly thickens
Turn off flame and add 1/2 lime juice
